The first of the original novels inspired by the hit 1967 television series
The Prisoner, Thomas M. Disch's
The Prisoner, begins with a definite sense of déjà vu.
It's not quite faithful to the series but it is an interesting riff on the same theme and it's a wild crazy entertaining science fiction spy thriller.
Lots of paranoia and weirdness.
