Sprigg was amazingly consistent when it come to the overall quality of his mystery novels and didn't produce a single dud! What a shame he threw his life away in that war. <br /><br /><i>Death of a Queen</i>, <i>The Corpse with the Sunburned Face</i> and <i>The Six Queer Things</i> are Sprigg's best and most original novels, but you'll probably find <i>The Corpse with the Sunburned Face</i> a little subversive.
