He onl...Ashberry didn't translate that edition. He only wrote an introduction. The Picador copy you have is a reprint of the US William Morrow edition from the 1986. The book is nothing more than a reissue of the original US edition published by Brentano in 1915. It's word for word the same as the original, not a new translation or even an adapatation. The translator for the English editions (used in both the UK and the US) was Alfred Allinson. End of pedantic lecture.<br /><br />I just discovered this blog today. Love it!
