Unfortunately, the climax is unintentionally hilarious, and his belief that all communists are actually satanists does take some swallowing. That said, it is enormous fun, and it is never, ever boring. Have you ever read any of his non-supernatural thrillers? Books like THE GOLDEN SPANIARD or THE ISLAND WHERE TIME STANDS STILL are absolute corkers and read just as well today as they did when they were written.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
